Yellow liquid; a mixture of nitric acid and hydrochloric acid, usually in the proportion of 1:3. Powerful oxidant; may cause fire in contact with organic materials such as wood, cotton or straw, evolving suffocating and highly toxic gases. Highly corrosive to all metals. Causes severe burns to skin, eyes and mucous membranes.
